I had a headlight go out and my car model as well as damage to my hood made the process of changing the bulbs much more difficult, meaning in order to change it youd have to at least take the front bumper off, my father had surgery and was unable to fix it for me, he recommended Waterloo Automotive for a quality fix, and I could not have been happier with the turn out!! Not only did they get the job done quickly, they also cared enough to let me know that my brakes were not doing too good, they cared enough to do an overall checkup on my car and point out any issues they noticed, I greatly appreciated that because they actually care and I dont know much about cars so its scary not knowing if theres something wrong, they even topped off my antifreeze, brake fluid, and my power steering pump, no extra charge!! They informed me that my engine was having issues with oil leaks, as well as my brakes leaking & sticking, they even secured loose lug nuts on my tires!! They were very nice and I could tell they truly care, they offered warm drinks to make my couple hour stay even more comfortable, very great quality people who truly care about your safety rather than trying to get you in and out and just take your money!! This is also the first shop that didnt try to push any sales on me which was very nice as well! I was shocked to have such sweet people help me out for a change instead of people giving me attitude and doing poor quality work like ALL the other auto shops in Waterloo, which is why Im always nervous going into auto shops scared of feeling like a burden, but I felt very welcomed and cared for here! I HIGHLY recommend this shop, even if you arent from Waterloo, Id definitely drive some extra time for their quality expertise! I came in to fix a headlight, and they gave me above and beyond help with the whole car!! Thank you, Waterloo Automotive! I will not be going anywhere else!

I recently broke up with a well known auto shop in the area. I don’t want to name names, but it rhymes with Cobbs. They were constantly recommending services and I always needed new filters. I stumbled upon Waterloo Automotive after getting my side view mirror knocked off. They were so kind and let me know they don’t really do body work, but they recommended a local shop that does. So I knew I had to come back from that alone. I came in for my first oil change and received the warmest welcome. They explained everything, and guess who didn’t need new filters! Well I actually did, but only because Cobbs installed the wrong size previously. In addition, they secured my skid plate that Cobbs left bolts off of. I’m a single lady who works on one income and the security of knowing they care about my car and my money is something I cannot thank them enough for!! My family left on vacation and we left my daughter’s car with Waterloo Automotive for several smaller repairs. They texted or called me when they had any questions and took very good care of her vehicle while we were gone. I never had to think about it once while on vacation, which means the world to us! We are loyal customers for good!

As a person who keeps cars a long time, it’s imperative that I find a local shop that I trust. I 100% trust Waterloo Automotive to be honest, to be thorough, to be efficient, to give me a fair price on labor and parts, to explain things in ways I can understand without being condescending, and to be friendly and kind. I won’t take my car anywhere else.

I thought I had brake issues, they carefully diagnosed the issues and determined that the brakes were fine and that the problem was likely a warranted drive train issue. I can always trust a thorough evaluation and no unnecessary charges!
